This 1 troy oz .999 fine silver coin from SilverTowne Mint is part of the Legendary Warriors series which pays tributes to famous and historical military figures from around the world. This particular coin is the third release of the series, and features Achilles – one of the most widely known Greek warriors who was famous for his near invincibility. He is known in legend to have been dipped in the River Styx as a child, rendering him invulnerable except on his heal where his mother held him during the bath. Achilles was a fierce warrior who was pivotal in the Trojan War. Ultimately, he was finally killed by Paris, who struck his Achilles heel with an arrow.

Obverse: A depiction of Achilles holding a spear in one hand and a shield in the other.

Reverse: The symbol of the Legendary Warriors series of coins, which is a star formed from all of the weapons of that time period. It also shows the weight and purity of the coin.
