Description
These Britannias contain 1/10 of a troy ounce of .9999 fine gold and have the same design that follows the Britannia series. This particular rendition was recreated by Jody Clark from the original that first appeared on coins during the reign of Roman Emperor Hadrian (and was later sculpted by Philip Nathan in 1987). It has been so popular and trusted amongst investors that it is now used on a range of products from bullion coins (known commonly as “Britannias”) to bars of varying metals and weights. In 2021, The Royal Mint added patterns of waves and detailed engravings to promote extra security features as well as offer a magnificent visual appeal. *Note: Some Britannia coins minted prior to 2022 may not contain all of the same security features.
Obverse: The likeness of either Her Majesty The Queen Elizabeth II (2023 and prior) or His Majesty The King Charles III (2023 to present), along with the denomination backed by the British Government.
Reverse: The internationally recognized female personification of Britannia, the weight, purity, and date.
