This 1 troy ounce .999 fine silver round from The Golden State Mint is a replica of the beautiful Lincoln Wheat Cent, a coin designed by Victor David Brenner and issued from 1909 to 1958. The exact penny that it replicates is the highly collectible 1909 S “VDB” variety, which combines a rare date, mint mark, and also the engraver’s initials that made this specimen so highly sought after by collectors.
Reverse: A right-facing depiction of Abraham Lincoln, the word “LIBERTY,” and the 1909 date with S mint mark.
Obverse: the famous wheat design, the metal, weight, and purity along with the “VDB” at the bottom of the wheat stalks.
