The America the Beautiful Silver Coin Series is notable for it’s large, and beautifully designed illustrations, making them a prized gift for the discerning silver collector. The Specimen version of this coin is vapor blasted after minting, giving them a distinctive matte finish. They are also incased in plastic capsule for added protection and are placed in a presentation box. In addition the Specimen version is distinguished from the bullion version by the “P” mint mark engraved below “IN GOD WE TRUST”.

This coin commemorates Tallgrass Prairie National Preserve, which is located in the Flint Hills region of Kansas. The preserve protects a nationally significant example of the once vast tallgrass prairie ecosystem that once covered the North American continent, but of which now only 4% remains.
