This 2017 3-coin Proof Gold and Silver Set commemorates the 100th year anniversary of the establishment of Boy’s Town in 1917. The set includes a copper/nickel clad half dollar, a silver dollar (.7734 ozt of silver), and a $5 gold coin (.2419 ozt of gold).

2017-S Boys Town (clad) Half Dollar — Obverse: Depicts an older boy holding the hands of his younger brother as they walk towards Father Flanagan’s Boys Town Pillar. Also inscribed are the dates “1917” and “2017.” Reverse: Shows present-day members of Boys Town in graduation caps and gowns, along with inscriptions of the denomination, “HEALING FAMILIES,” “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA” and “E PLURIBUS UNUM.”

2017-P Boys Town Silver Dollar — Obverse: Depiction of a girl sitting and gazing upward at a single oak leaf in need of help. Also inscribed are the dates “1917” and “2017,” and the words “WHEN YOU HELP A CHILD TODAY…,” “LIBERTY” and “IN GOD WE TRUST.” Reverse: a depiction of a group of children together holding hands underneath an entire oak tree, along with inscriptions of the denomination, “…YOU WRITE THE HISTORY OF TOMORROW,” “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA” and “E PLURIBUS UNUM.”

2017-W Boys Town $5 gold coin –Obverse: Father Flanagan is depicted along with inscriptions of “1917,” “2017,” “LIBERTY,” “IN GOD WE TRUST,” and “BOYS TOWN CENTENNIAL.” Reverse: A depiction of an open hand holding a young oak tree sapling growing out of an acorn. Also inscribed are the denomination, “THE WORK WILL CONTINUE,” and “E PLURIBUS UNUM.”
