Description
Introduced in 2006, Burnished Uncirculated American Silver Eagles have lower mintages than regular Uncirculated Silver Eagles, making them very collectible.
This Burnished Silver American Eagle has a “W” mint mark and was struck on a special, burnished blank at the West Point Mint. The burnished finish allows for a more frosted luster, greatly enhancing the coins features. It is graded by NGC as a perfect MS70 and contains 1 troy ounce of .999 fine silver.
Obverse: Lady Liberty draped in an American flag, with a rising sun in the background. The words “Liberty” and “In God We Trust, along with the date, are inscribed.
Reverse: The American Bald Eagle is shown holding arrows in one claw (equipped for war), and an olive branch (ready for peace) in the other. Thirteen stars representing the original 13 colonies, a “W” mint mark, the weight, purity, denomination, and “E. Pluribus Unum” are inscribed.
Diameter: 40.6 mm, Thickness: 2.98 mm.
