Description
One of the most beautiful US coins ever produced, the stunning $20 “Saint-Gaudens” gold piece was designed by Augustus Saint-Gaudens and was first placed into circulation in 1907. This classic design was so well received by the public that the obverse design was later re-adopted for use on the modern gold American Gold Eagle bullion coins which were released beginning in 1986. The classic Saint-Gaudens gold pieces are .900 fine and contain .9675 ounces of pure gold, and they were produced for use in general circulation from 1907 to 1933, although none of the 1933-dated pieces were ever actually released into circulation. These will be common date coins in brand new, “mint” condition graded Mint State 61 (MS61) by either PCGS or NGC. Our choice of dates and grading services.
