Widely considered to be among the most beautiful silver coins ever produced by the United States Mint, Morgan silver dollars are extremely popular among coin collectors.  Minted from 1878 to 1904 and then again in 1921, Morgan silver dollars have an original minted weight of 26.73 grams, they’re 90% pure silver and have a net silver content of .7734 ounces of pure silver.  These “cartwheels” as they are sometimes called, were minted in Philadelphia, New Orleans, San Francisco and Carson City, and in 1921 only, Denver also produced Morgan silver dollars.  Common date Morgans are plentiful, even in brand new, “mint” condition, but the fact that a good number of Morgan silver dollars are rare makes this series especially fun and challenging to collect.  Nashville Coin Gallery offers a variety of these very popular coins (common dates) graded a very respectable MS64 (Mint State 64) by either of the two most highly regarded coin grading services in the country – PCGS and NGC.  These will be dates and grading services of our choice, depending on our inventory at the time of your order.  If you have a preference for a specific grading service, please feel free to call us immediately after placing your order, and we’ll do our best to accommodate your needs depending on our inventory at that time.
