This 1 oz of .999 fine silver coin was an APMEX Exclusive produced in collaboration with Lionsgate films to commemorate the John Wick film series. John Wick, a feared assassin ripped out of retirement in order to take vengeance upon those responsible for killing his dog, is the protagonist of the film. In John Wick’s criminal underground world, goods and services are not purchased with traditional currency or credit cards – instead, precious metals are the standard of payment. Gold coins allow John Wick to purchase necessities, from weapons and suits to criminal favors, without allowing his transactions to be traced back to him.

Obverse: A lion with a large shield in the background. Ens Causa Sui (Latin for “existing because of oneself”) and MMI can be read along the top and bottom.

Reverse: A blindfolded woman holding a sword and shield in one arm and a bouquet of leaves in the other. Above is the Latin phrase, Ex Unitae Vires (Latin for “from unity, comes strength”).
