The Chinese Gold Panda coin is one of the oldest gold bullion options for modern investors. Introduced in 1982, the coins were originally available in 1 oz gold and three fractional weights. It would take just one year for the mint to expand the coins to feature a 1/20 oz Chinese Gold Panda.

Chinese Gold Panda coins are issued by the Chinese Mint under the direction of the People’s Republic of China. From 1983 to 2015, the 1/20 oz Chinese Gold Panda Coin was issued annually by the Chinese Mint with a weight measured and marked in Troy ounces.

On the obverse is the Temple of Heaven structure. The reverse side of the coin features a new image of the Giant Panda for each year.
