Description
This Chinese Panda coin from the Chinese Mint features a yearly-changing design and contains 30g (.9645 troy ounce) of .999 fine silver. This year’s design, the first year in which the one troy ounce weight was changed to 30g in order to align with the metric system, consists of a close-up view of a panda mother holding her panda cub, and some mountains/hills in the background. It is a First Strike from the Chinese Mint, guaranteed by the People’s Bank of China, and has been graded as a perfect MS70 by PCGS. Note: although the coin was found to be flawless at the time it was graded, it is possible for certain “milk spots” or toning to develop over time.
Obverse: The Hall of Prayer in the Temple of Heaven in Beijing, encircled by the phrase “People’s Republic of China” and the year.
Reverse: A close-up view of a Panda mother embracing her cub, the denomination, the weight and purity.
Diameter: 40 mm
