MacNeil’s Standing Liberty Quarter design, all of which were an instant hit with the public.  The 2016 1/4 oz gold Standing Liberty Quarter coin contains 1/4 ounce of pure gold, and with the exception of the 2016 date, the “W” mint mark and the addition of the words “AU 24k” and “1/4 oz” on the obverse, the design is virtually identical to the original 1916 Standing Liberty silver quarter.
