Description
This Chinese Panda coin from the Chinese Mint features a yearly-changing design and contains 30g (.9645 troy ounce) of .999 fine silver. This year’s design, the first year in which coins were minted in 30g instead of 1 troy ounce, consists of a panda resting on a tree branch, and bamboo branches in the background. It is a First Strike from the Chinese Mint, guaranteed by the People’s Bank of China, and has been graded as a perfect MS70 by PCGS. Note: although the coin was found to be flawless at the time it was graded, it is possible for certain “milk spots” or toning to develop over time.
Obverse: The Hall of Prayer in the Temple of Heaven in Beijing, encircled by the phrase “People’s Republic of China” and the year.
Reverse: A panda resting on a tree branch, the denomination, the weight and purity.
Diameter: 40 mm, Thickness: 2.98 mm
