– This coin was minted the very first year in 2015 under a new design of the Australian Kangaroo 1oz silver bullion coin. This release had a limited mintage of only 300,000 coins and was struck in pure .9999 fine silver (even more pure than its .999 silver predecessors). It also contains a Perth Mint first: a micro-engraved letter “A” has been placed near the first letter “A” in “Australia” that appears under magnification and can provide extra protection against counterfeits.
