The America the Beautiful Silver Coin Series is notable for it’s large, and beautifully designed illustrations, making them a prized gift for the discerning silver collector. The Specimen version of this coin is vapor blasted after minting, giving them a distinctive matte finish. They are also incased in plastic capsule for added protection and are placed in a presentation box. In addition the Specimen version is distinguished from the bullion version by the “P” mint mark engraved below “IN GOD WE TRUST”

The obverse of the coin showcases a detailed portrait of George Washington, the first President of the United States, as designed by John Flanagan. The reverse side of the coin beautifully captures the essence of Fort McHenry National Monument and Historic Shrine, showcasing the star-shaped fort that played a pivotal role during the War of 1812 and inspired Francis Scott Key to write “The Star-Spangled Banner,” the national anthem of the United States.
