This 1987 Constitution 2-coin Proof Set includes both a silver dollar and a five-dollar gold coin to commemorate the 200th anniversary of the signing of the Constitution. The silver dollar contains .7734 troy ounces of silver, and the five-dollar gold coin contains .2418 troy ounces of gold.

Silver dollar obverse: The Constitution of the United States of America, a depiction of the writing quill used to sign it, along with inscriptions of “We the People” and “In God We Trust.” Reverse: a depiction of the signors of the Constitution, the denomination, and “E Pluribus Unum.”

Five-dollar gold obverse: An eagle carrying a writing quill, with the word “Liberty” and the date inscribed. Reverse: a writing quill, the denomination, the date the Constitution was signed, and “Bicentennial of the Constitution” are inscribed.
