The Morgan Silver Dollar is without question one of the most, if not the most widely collected United States coin. Prized for their size and their beauty, these “cartwheels” as they are sometimes called because of their frequent “cartwheel” luster when in brand new, mint condition, were designed by George T. Morgan. Produced from 1878 to 1904, and then again in 1921 after a gap in production between 1905 and 1920 due to a silver shortage, these magnificent coins were produced in Philadelphia, San Francisco, New Orleans, Carson City and, in 1921 only, in Denver.

Morgan Silver Dollars weigh 26.73 grams, they are made of 90% silver and 10% copper and contain .77344 ounces of pure silver.

These coins will be common dates, they are likely to exhibit moderate to heavy contact marks and they may exhibit any degree of toning, from being “blast white” to heavily toned, depending on our available inventory at the time of your order, but they are guaranteed to be in uncirculated condition in our opinion.
