The America the Beautiful Silver Coin Series is notable for it’s large, and beautifully designed illustrations, making them a prized gift for the discerning silver collector. The Specimen version of this coin is vapor blasted after minting, giving them a distinctive matte finish. They are also incased in plastic capsule for added protection and are placed in a presentation box. In addition the Specimen version is distinguished from the bullion version by the “P” mint mark engraved below “IN GOD WE TRUST”

This coin commemorates Mount Hood National Forest. Established in 1892, the park contains 170 recreation facilities that cater to skiing, rafting, hunting, boating and mountain climbing.

The reverse of this coin depicts a picturesque view of Mount Hood behind Lost Lake.
