Description
The Canadian Polar Bear silver coins are some of the most beautifully designed coins produced by the Royal Canadian Mint. These coins contain half an ounce of .9999 fine silver and make a sound investment for the discerning silver investor
The polar bear is one of the world’s largest bear species. It is also the northernmost species of bear in the world, with its native range consisting of the Arctic Circle and the Arctic Ocean. This includes the surrounding seas and land masses that abut the Arctic Circle. Today’s polar bear is the largest extant bear species and is also the largest living land carnivore.
Queen Elizabeth II is depicted on the obverse of 2019 Canadian Polar Bear Silver Coins. This portrayal of the Queen is the fourth-generation design for the Royal Canadian Mint and national coinage in Canada.
A polar bear is depicted on the reverse design of this Coin. The design element portrayed this year is a mirror reflection of the 2018 design, flipping the polar bear from the left side of the field to the right side of the field. The polar bear is shown at the edge of an ice shelf with the frigid waters of the Arctic Ocean in the background coming through cracks in the ice coverage.
