This 1 oz pure silver coin has a face value of $2 and is legal tender in Anguilla as well as all countries aligned with the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank. This series marks the first time the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank and the Scottsdale mint have collaborated together on a coin on behalf of all eight member nations of the ECCB. These nations include Antigua & Barbuda, Anguilla, Commonwealth of Dominica, Grenada, Montserrat, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.

The Lobster is culturally significant to the island of Anguilla as it’s a major export and source of revenue due it attracting fisherman from around the world. The tiny island has also enjoyed a reputation for thriving culinary scene. This is reflected on the reverse with the lobster depiction.
