To celebrate the 100 year anniversary of their first appearance on circulating United States coinage, in 2016 the US Mint re-issued three classic silver coin designs, this time in gold: Adolph Weinman’s Mercury Dime and Walking Liberty Half Dollar designs, and Hermon A. MacNeil’s Standing Liberty Quarter design, all of which were an instant hit with the public. The 2016 1/4 oz gold Standing Liberty Quarter coin contains 1/4 ounce of pure gold, and with the exception of the 2016 date, the “W” mint mark and the addition of the words “AU 24k” and “1/4 oz” on the obverse, the design is virtually identical to the original 1916 Standing Liberty silver quarter.
With a limited mintage of only 100,000 pieces, these stunningly beautiful gold classics are likely to prove to be a great investment choice. Order yours today!
NOTE: These coins are in brilliant uncirculated condition, but they are missing some (or all) of their original government packaging and will ship in a snug fitting clear plastic capsule (if available), or a plastic flip inside of an outer protective plastic bag. Because the original US Mint packaging is missing or incomplete, the price has been discounted accordingly.
